I hear what you say. Not that I am against help Asians children but I think it is becoming the cool thing to do, which is not good. Who wants to see Britney Spears getting an Asian kid to be cool?

Does it really matter where a person adopt a child, because a child is a child no matter what country they are from and need love all the same. Besides, foreign adoption is a much easier process and a quick procedure compare to adopting in the USA.

I think the issue is 2 fold
For one thing, sadly, it is so much easier to adopt a foreign child than one from the USA. Secondly, there is a trend in celeb circles to do this. Like joining Kabballah or wearing thick belts.
There are a lot of rules and proceedures and foreign kids are easier to adopt than babies from the US. They are just as deserving of a loving home.... just easier to get.

Asian orphans WAY out number American orphans. Plus, just because celebs are adopting Asians, doesn't mean everyone is. Besides it is easier.

it's kind of showmanship- if you really want to do something for the orphans , do it quietly. Asian kids are much more better than the American kids no doubt, by the way

Maybe it has to do with the fact that some of those kids would never stand a chance if they WERENT adopted by foreigners!!

I really can't answer your question. I just think it is sooo outrageous when we have alot of homeless and orphaned children here in the U.S.A. who need and deserve a good home weather it's to a celebrity or an average person.
