Several things:
1. Exposure to ideas and people different from what you are used to
2. Learning more about damn near everything if you take the right classes
3. More job opportunities
4. Higher pay once in those opportunities
5. Sense of pride in what you've accomplished
6. And some people think you're smart if you have a degree (which isn't necessarily true)

A lot of it is that it makes you feel good when you have achieved the knowledge to work things out or understand them. This is more important to me than getting a better job. You would have to be lucky to find a job where you will be happy all your life. Most education is not about teaching you but to train you for a job so that you fit into a slot in society. Therefore it is important to have the tools to achieve being content.Maybe you will find out how you are being exploited by the super rich.
