find out what kind of tree you have before you destoy it, it could be trimmed, and taken care of to make an attractive plant, figure out what plants are there before you start to destroy them, maybe you can salvage some of it

Chain around the bush trunk and hooked to a truck hitch. Put truck in drive and give her gas. Most bushes in flowerbeds have shallow root systems and should pull out. be careful the roots dont go under the porch or you may need a new porch .

Most of them you can just cut down even with the ground and then cut an X in the remaining part of the bush. This will kill it and you can later remove the roots easily after they are dead.

Or you can use a BUMPER jack to pull the stump up if it is not too large or too deep.

Chop down the bushes and dig out the root balls. As for the tree, depending on the shape and size if you don't want to pull it out, you can always use it as a trellis and grow something like climbing roses, morning glory or jasmine, or you could cut it flat and use the stump to place a plant or birdbath on.

Check with a local garden supply store about the bushes and tree. You could have something valuable (rare) that wasn't taken care of. Take pictures of the area, and close up of the leaves.

well if they are large, cut down as much as you can, then dig the root ball out of the ground.
