can some one place tell me how to take an image and place it in a forum?

ive tryed to take a doll that i made from the doll place.com and use it as an avatar for a forum. the millsbery citizans club to be exact.
i think i have it down but when i post theres just a file where the image should apperar. i what it to show the actul image. plece do it in a

You will need to ask the forum administrators of your specific forum. They MAY have disabled direct image display.
