If you are talking about amniocentesis, that is not necessary. You choose to do that test if you have risk factors that you are concerned about and you are willing to abort if things are not good. I could never abort and advise to not take the test.
I did it in my first pregnancy because I was 37 and my husband wanted to know if the baby was healthy. It made me HATE my pregnancy for about a month. It is HELL waiting for the results.

never heard of that sounds weird. If something is wrong with the genetics blood test they might do an amioscentisis i dont know how the heck to spell it but they will stick a big needle but only if she wants it. and not all the way through pregnancy

your race has nothing to with a needle being stuck in her stomach!! I'm not impressed I'm biracial too and so is most of my family!! That was totally irrelevant!! By the way Congrats on your new baby!!

what the heck does being black/white hvae to do with an amniocentesis? no one "has to" have an amnio, its an optional test. and i dont recommended it unless absolutely necessary due to the risks. but it has absoultely nothing to do with the color of your skin????

may be you should do some reading, but race has nothing to do with that. It's optional. Maybe you should ask her y!
