It has to do with the Codex of the DVD. Some DVD are R+, some R-, some have other codex. You have to know what your DVD can play back. Is it a machine that can only playback certian DVD's, or all? If your DVD is not compatible with the way your DVD Burns, then you will not be able to play it back unless you purchase a DVD player that can read the codex that your DVD burner uses.

compouters can read all kinds of data discs so when you write a DVD always use nero express or some other software and write the DVD by using the option make a DVD then onyl it will work on a DVD player

just check your dvd format. maybe u burn it on a data dvd format, not dvd movie

May be your DVD player doesnot support the version of DVD. Please check version you adding while making your DVD It is different in different countries.

it could be that your movie file is not formatted properly. formatting it to an MPEG file type should work. also check the kind of DVD you have(-R or +R). try the other if the one you have doesn't work.
