Nothing to do with Russia/Russian women, who are often wonderful, caring and loving. Internet Dating is the key to failure! I would be very careful to believe in that kind of relationship. There always could be love - love always finds her ways. But this is a great risk to take and love is sometimes present not due to some pattern or equation, but rather luck and destiny.

I worked with a guy who did the internet (mail order) Russian wife and he is happy. He went through a lot to get her here, financially. On the other hand my hubby's friend got scammed by the same scene - sent her a bunch of money and she played a huge game with him. Just use caution. Is there a reason you can't just do a local internet dating service? And no, they aren't all set to fail. I know PLENTY of couples who met online and are as happy as you could wish to be. When you are forced to communicate prior to the physical attraction factor coming in, you are able to think a lot more clearly about this person you are "considering". Best of luck!

I have a local man friend who felt he had fallen in love with a woman in russia that he met on the internet dating sites. They talked on the phone for months. Then he spent $5,000 on a trip to visit her. It was a nightmare. NO love, no sex, no nothing. She just nagged him constantly. He switched hotels to get her off his back. It was a misserable trip. He got home very hurt, his heart destroyed. She called and asked for him to mail her money so that she could move to the United States to be with him. He hung up on her. Very expensive lesson learned.
Also I know another guy who actually married from Russia. Spent seven years of his life in missery. She cheataed constantly. He payed for her whole family to move to the states and supports them. She destroyed his heart, his spirit, his sould his company. All of him.
I have just heard about them and sorry, but never heard of anyone that it worke out. Can't say that it is impossible.
I would be cautious if I were you.

I know a rocket scientist who married a Russian girl from the Internet.....while he was still married to a small town girl. But when he returned home to see his small town wife........she moved to the city.........................

what you're forgetting to recall is that they're his kids up to they're yours, and despite the fact that you are no longer comfortable with what he did, there's not anything you'll do to quit him.
