It takes 9 * 15 = 135 employee-days to do the job. So the question is "How many days will it take 12 employees to do the same job?"
The answer is 135 /12 days = 11.25 days.

9 employees = 15 days, so 3 employees = 5 days. (3/9 x 15) It follows then, that if all employees are equally efficient, bringing in 3 more workers would reduce the time taken by 5 days, making the answer 10 days.

your problem may be summarized as if 9 persons can do work in 15 days, how many days 12 persons would do the same work. The easiest way is to find out the man-days required to do the work. The no. of man when multiplied by days gives us man days.kSo from the first part of the problem, you know that the work requires 9X15 or 135 man-days
now if you divide it by 12(the no. of men now enployed) you would get the days required by them to complete the work
Therefore the answer is 135/12=11 1/4 days

I say 10 too. everything by 3. You can break it down to say every 3 employees is about five days of work. three more employees equal five less days of work. Also three less employee equals five more days of work.
