Yes, I have a B.A. in Writing. I'm lucky I matriculated before they changed my major to have two tracks, business writing and creative writing. I find business writing boring and I'm too lazy to make a living as a creative writer. :-D I didn't want to go into journalism, either. What I really wanted was to be an editor.

The editing field is really hard to break into when you have almost no experience. But the degree helped. About a year after I graduated, I was hired by a small publishing house. The pay is not much. However, I got to handle an entire book for my first major editing project, which I think is pretty flippin' sweet considering I'm in my early twenties (usually it takes several years to work your way up).

I think that you need to take a realistic look at your fiances! If you really can't afford to go back to school and feed cloth and put a roof over your families head then it probably isn't a good idea to go back right now! Try to look at it from your husbands stand point I'm sure he's not saying that you should never go back to me it just seems like he's saying that going back right now isn't fees able for the family! Don't Let something like this cause problems in your marriage try only buying things that you need and put the money aside so that you save then re-approach the idea in a few months! Try not to get discouraged by all this I know that it's hard right now you should pray about the situation too!
