Roughly 20 or so. Some years are worse (better?) I suppose seeing as how I have around 800. I'm not big on downloading music - I like having the acual cd that I OWN and all original artwork, not some digital print.

Umm at least 5 it all depends on when my fave band comes out with a CD and right now I have 10 CDs from this year.

aren't Cd's obsolete already ? mostly I share music with my friends or over the net for free, so why bother to buy them? I have music everywhere, I-pod; external hard drive and in the computer, even now a days single memory card can hold more music than couple of cd's

It must be more than 200 cds in a year. I love very much this rounded thing cause it can give you an amazing sound.

I would say 50 or 60 but as I get older there are fewer bands out there that capture my interest and a lot of what I buy are reissues and box sets... I have loved music all of my life and am into just about all of it...

Probably 20-30. I only buy them on sale unless it's something I REALLY want then I'll pay full price.
