Have an Open Door policy regarding immigrants and terrorists?

No, Not all immigrants are terrorists, But do you feel as a country we need to be more protective of who and what we let into the US? Open Borders, student Visas, and such allow too broad of a spectrum. Tell me your thoughts.....

Well, The United States, with the exception of the indigenous population is purely immigrant. It's rather like 100 people gate-crashing a party and then complaining about gategrashers.

I am a naturalized Citizen and had to learn the English language and American History in order to pass my examination to become a citizen, after lots of paperwork to get a visa to the United States. I believe that a background check should be done on anyone who applies for a Visa, it does not matter which country they are applying from, anyone with a criminal history should be denied entry to the United States, even if they apply for a temporary visa for a vacation.

unless you want to completely close the borders to any one from outside there is no way to tell who is terrorist and who is not, as long there is ANY visas issued there is always a possibility of terrorist attack
therefore we have national security and all the intelligence to determine possible treat and take some necessary action to prevent that
as for the immigrants most of them only seek better life opportunity as we call USA the country of freedom and opportunity

Definitely. The US is slowly becoming more than a safe harbor for people seeking a better life but now its for people that care nothing about the US and want nothing but to take all they can and trash our country. Noone should be allowed in unless they have good intentions and desire to be a legitimate citizen and follow all tghe laws. We dont make special laws for other nationalities. Id like to see Americans try that somewhere else!!! We would be killed.

We need to do 3 things to fix the immigration problem.

1) control our borders.
2) Crack down on those who hire illegal immigrants.
3) Make it easier for people to immigrate legally.
