Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton, for sure. Have you ever really listened to Layla? The guitar strings almost speak. Of course, I'm 62, sooo

Heres mine.
1. Jimi Hendrix
2. Duane Allman
3. Stevie Ray Vaughn
4. Eric Clapton
5. Carlos Santana
6. Slash
7. Chet Atkins
8. Peter Green
9. Stephen Stills
10. Mark Knopfler
It's only the first two that count anyway. Without Duane Allman's guitar in Layla the song would undoubtedly not speak. He made the song. Obviously Hendrix is number 1, but if Allman had lived longer he would have only developed into a greater guitarist. Although the same could be said for Hendrix. Clapton as always has to be up there, as with Stevie ray vaughn. Chet Atkins also deserves a mention, because he had a unique playing style and was a great guitarist before most of the other guys. He shouldn't be discounted because he was a country player. And finally if you have ever seen Mark Knopfler live you'll understand why he makes my list.

1. Stevie Ray Vaughan 2. Jimi Hendrix. 3. Buddy Guy 4.Joe Satriani 5.Santana 6. Jimmy Page 7. Mato Nanji (of Indigenous) 8. Eric Clapton 9. B.B. King 10. Angus Young
That's cool that you have your own list. I think everyone has their own and shouldn't listen to guitar magazines that try to do '100 Greatest" etc. I think everyone has their own opinion which is cool. I also like Tom Morello, John Petrucchi, and even Kenny Wayne Shepherd but I definately think Stevie Ray is number one. The reason I even picked up a guitar was because of SRV.
