art marquetry?

I have this beautiful solid wood measuring 12.5 x 13.5 marquetry piece of art that is titled "The Sheriff", dated 1944. It also list the 9 veneers used & the 9 countries from which they originated, any idea who the artisan might be?

Hey Patty,

I could not find it. I found a painting "Pursued by the Sheriff". My suggestion is to talk with a professional, whom you can find via one or many of these sites. Also, these sites have Title look ups, and may reveal the Artisan. Hope it helps.
