Hi! I am 20 years old and just found out I was pregnant. I took two pregnancy tests last night and one this morning all positive. I am experiencing some light but VERY uncomfortable cramps and I am worried. This is my 2nd pregnancy but I dont remember any kind of cramps with my first all though it was a couple of years ago. I have not made an appointment with my Doc yet. From what the due date calculator says I am due in July so I am around 4 weeks pregnant. So I am wondering if anyone has had this problem before so early in pregnancy?

Thankyou,
CK

I had it twice and it wasn't good. Go to hospital ASAP, don't wait especially if you plan on keeping your baby. Some people do still menstruate while pregnant some don't. The only way you'll know if you don't play doctor and go see one. The cramps could be something very big or nothing at all, but you won't know until you go see an obstetrician and go now before the cramps worsen. When it happen to me twice before I lost both babies. So go to the hospital now. If it's no bleeding accommodating the cramps it could be a good sign, it could be. Just check for bleeding cause they are going to ask and check you, and then grab your purse and walk out your door. Check back with us later and let us know the outcome, if it's okay with you. Just concerned that's all!!!

with mine i had a little bit of light cramps and i talked to my doc about it and he said that it was my uterus growing with the baby and that it is normal in some pregnancies. my daughter is now 6 months old. i did miscarry before i had her. i did have major cramps and heavy bleeding with that pregnancy. i was 13 weeks. most miscarries accure with in the first 12 weeks. but i am sure there is nothing to worry about as long is there is no bleeding. but since you are under the 12th week mark i would get checked asap and if ur cramps get any worse or u see and bleeding i would go to the closest ER. but im sure there is nothing to worry about. good luck with everything and congradultaions.

I did, I felt like my period was coming. Someone told me that the cramps came from the implantation of the egg. I experienced this around the same time as you did. If I hadn't gotten the pregnancy test, I would have just thought my period was coming on (it felt a little different, but if I didn't know any better I could have easily mistaken it for my period cramps.)

I'm not sure if its the same as I had but I felt like I was having menstral cramps up until like 10 weeks.. but don't base your choice off of me I might consider calling a Dr tomorrow maybe just consulting your physician over the phone until you can make an appointment sounds kinda serious

Cramps this early on are usually from the egg implanting in your uterus. You could also have some spotting from this as well. If this is the case the cramps should be very mild. See a doctor to be sure.

God bless!

i have been pg 3 times. my second and third pgcy felt very crampy right around my period would have been due. if they feel worse than your period normally feels---or if they get any worse, go to the ER. otherwise, call your dr in the morning, make your 1st appt, and explain to the nurse about the cramping, she will probably ask some questions and pain level and be able to better assist you.

you may want to get checked out, although I am pregnant with my second child and also felt the cramping, which I did not feel with my first. Just be careful, but it sounds normal.

i'd say its normal. during the first 2 months i would be walking around or doing something and have to kneel to the ground and grab my abdomen from a striking pain and shortness of breath. i went to a doctor thinking it was an ulser and he said it'd go away. (little did he or i know i was pregnant)

if your'e worried then go see the doctor. every pregnancy is bound to be different, and different for each individual. it could be normal for you, but bad news for someone else. you should get in to see the doctor soon anyway, so just kill 2 birds with one stone, and say a prayer.
