Do you not know that there is places in USA that your children can walk around and you dont have to worry about them being jumped because of their skin color. There is places in USA where teachers really teach. The old mayor,Mayor White said it will be Clevelands goal for all kids to be able to read by 4th grade.Does that not alarm you.I know hes not mayor no more but Cleveland public schools are even worst now.I know about all the museums but that does not make Cleveland a great place.Tell me why you like living there.

Hey Glo I am not misimformed on kids being jumped because of their skin color. It even happens to adults.I just moved from there so I know what Im talking about.kingarmybrat did you really serve in the Army? How pathetic of you to talk to me like that. You have lived all over according to you profile. If Cleveland is so great why did you not live there all your life? And yes people I know all about the museums and the so called lack of entertainment but that still does NOT make Cleveland a great and safe city to live in.And I know of crimes in other cities Glo but I did ask about Cleveland so lets keep it to that. You people are trying to justify Cleveland by telling me the suburbs of Cleveland are good but thats still not Cleveland.

I could not imagine living anywhere else because I grew up there.37 1/2 years of Cleveland.Just moved to Texas in the country. My kids are getting a good education now.I know they can leave the house and nothing will happen to them. The whites and black kids gets along out here.No one that lives in Cleveland has been able to tell me its a great place to raise there kids.Im hearing from people from the suburb and people who lived there but moved. To me living a good life is when my kids are well educated and safe and that they are now.

It's a great place to live. I grew up near Cleveland, then spent 4 years near Cincinnati for undergraduate and it made me realize how wonderful Cleveland is. It's safe, it's clean, and there's a lot to do because of all the sports teams, museums (art, history, science, Rock-n-Roll!), and there's always something going on in the city. And it's really beautiful since it's right on the lake. Like the others have said, it's really better to live in a suburb because if they live in the city at all, people don't live in the center of the city where the buildings are... they live in the outskirts... the houses around there are pretty old, small, and generally dirty looking. The suburb is probably going to be more expensive, but worth it. And Cleveland schools and the Cleveland police aren't the greatest... so live nearby Cleveland. Before you move you should know that Cleveland has some of the wierdest weather in the world. A lot of people get here and think they'll like the snow, but then they hate the cold and snow. Particularly if you live on the east side of cleveland you get a lot of snow. They say that Cleveland drivers are some of the best in the world at dealing with winter conditions because it snows so often and we still have to go to work. And there's this strange effect from the lake that Cleveland rarely sees the sun in the winter... It's usually very gray with overcast skies. Then in the summer it's the opposite (usually so... right?)... it gets hot and stays hot and there's periods we go without rain when we really need it. Anyway, Cleveland is absolutely great. I'd brave the weather conditions any day instead of moving somewhere else. I'm sure you'll love it too!

I grew up in Cleveland, no I don't live their anymore, I miss it terribly. I moved because of the lack of a good educational system for my children. It is not a good place to raise children for that reason. Lack of quality education. However, their are a great deal of a other things going on in Cleveland. A great deal of culture, history, entertainment, sports.. I have no fear walking down the streets, no fear what so ever. There is a great deal of diversity which is welcomed and appreciated. Cleveland has got it going on, it just needs to get the priorities in order as far as education for our youth. However, Cleveland is not the only major city with this issue. And I really believe you are misinformed regarding your statement of children being jumped on because of their skin color, Cleveland is one of the most diverse cities in our country and very tolerant of other cultures. One of the most tolerant that I have ever encountered and lived in. God bless*
