Hey, I live in Tennessee. I have found out that I have quite a bit of purple sand on my land. Does anyone know what it's worth, if any? Thanks in advance.

What part of TN? Near the mountains? I live in Northwest TN about 30 minutes from Reelfoot Lake and I have NEVER seen purple sand around here. If you know someone who sells gravel, you might contact them and see if they are interested or know how much it is worth. Or they could maybe point you in the right direction.

If I were you I would get the sand tested. Is it possible that it is contaminated with something. I would want a definitive answer if I was living on that property. I can't imagine what PURPLE sand would be composed of. What kind of minerals or run off perhaps in your area. Please get it checked with your local authorities. Good luck.
