Don't they have any technical schools in Florida? I thought Vatterot , ITT Technical were all over. They also have trade and vocational colleges. There are a multitude of sources. Cut and paste link below.

RE: COST.....I don't know about your state but at some of these trade schools you can apply for grants as well. It's true they do charge more. It is however accelerated training. You finish much faster, therefore you reach your main objective. THE PAY CHECK!

The time spent on these courses depends on your choice of schools. A Florida State or city college will make you take courses unrelated to what you want to learn. A trade or technical school allows you to concentrate on learning the trade and provide internships just like the city or state colleges. Good Luck!

Don't they have Community College? If they do, just go on line and look up their web page, you should be able to find out some info's
Like here in Jax, all I do is to log on Florida Community College in Jacksonville FCCJ web page and search courses and upcoming classes...these days you can find out everything on line, and even get registered...
Beware of private companies such as ACT or ITT they will charge you twice the amount for the same course which you can complete at community college for much less...

A local community college would be the best place - the courses are geared to helping you learn, not just taking your money and trying to make you quit like the big universities. A Community college would also usually be closer so less gas for diving!
