Astronauts begin their salary in accordance with the US Government pay scale at GS-11 (approximately $39,000 per year.) and top off at GS-14 (approximately $78,000).
I don't know about lawyers.

Astro freaks get paid $30.25 an hour after a year of 25.50 an hour.
Law dudes get how much their client pays them and if a kid needed a lawer he could offer a dollar and if they take it that lawer's the kid's.
And also sometimes depending on where u go they can get paid by the people they work for and it is about $15.00.

Lawyers get paid too much.
A lawyer had a sink that got clogged and wouldn't drain, so he called the plumber. The plumber came and sent his snake down and got rid of the clog and the sink drained. It only took a few minutes. Then he presnted the lawyer with his bill.
"Five hundred dollard for just a few minutes work?" the lawyer exclaimed. "I don't make this kind of money when I'm representing a client in court!"
"I know how you feel Counsellor," the plumber replied. "I didn't make this kind of money when I was representing clients in court, either."

Astronaunts, my guess would be 150 to 200k. Lawyers....all depends, they can make up to 800.00 an hour or higher. 800.00 an hour is 1.6 milion (thats how much the firm would get), but lawyers all depending on their speciality, 50K - 500 k on average. Big range.
