YES.
SEVERAL YEARS AGO, AT CHRISTMAS TIME, SOME FRIENDS AND I WENT TO THE STORE AND BOUGHT FOOD, HYGIENE PRODUCTS, AND OTHER NECESSITIES AND WENT TO THIS MAN'S HOUSE. IT WAS PRACTICALLY FALLING DOWN. HIW MOTHER WAS BED RIDDEN, AND HE WAS VERY POOR. WE DELIVERED THE MERCHANDISE TO HIM, ALONG WITH SOME MONEY. HE WAS VERY APPRECIATIVE FOR THE GIFT.

I think everyone has at one time or another! I am not saying I've done this all the time, but, when I have been the recipient of some Else's kindness, I have always tried to remember it down the road, and, at least say "Thank You", to let them know their efforts did not go unappreciated. Over the past couple of years, I've discovered that quite a few people do not carry the same code of ethics!

I help people in need all the time, but not in person - I've gotten stabbed in the back (figuratively) by people I've helped too many times to get personally involved anymore. The last time I tried to help someone out, they tried to turn me and my wife against each other, fighting over our autistic son, and that was the last straw. So now if I help someone, it's either through charity organizations, or I drop off food, clothing, or supplies to homeless shelters.
