Every season with Barry As coach the badgers have been overlooked. And when the badgers have a great season. People say the Big Ten is down because the schools that should be good are not.

I wouldn't call it a down year when it has teams ranked #1 and #2.

It's not just this year that the Big Ten was overrated. Look at last year, when their fans argued that OSU and Michigan should play for the national title and were outraged that it didn't happen. What did happen? OSU got pounded 42-14 by Florida. Then Michigan got smoked by USC. Looks like time has passed the Big Ten by... they just can't compete with the best in the SEC or Pac-10, or maybe even the Big 12 this year (especially Oklahoma). Ohio State will likely make a BCS Bowl game this year if they beat Michigan. We'll see how they do in the Bowls. And by the way, talking about Penn state vs. temple really isn't valid. Temple is one of the worst teams in the country! How about this September 8 score? Oregon 39, Michigan 7

I think these "experts" are full of crap. How can the Big 10 be down? They have the top two teams in the country, and a third (WI) is number 9 in the BCS. NO other conference comes close to 3 teams in the top 10. I am tired of hearing the conference isn't the best in the country, but really though, I have not heard anyone call the conference worst thatn 2 or 3. Who is to blame, besides the clueless "experts?" The other teams in the conference, Penn State, Michigan State (who beat some good teams, but also lost some they should have won), Iowa, NW, all of them were not as good as expected. BUT their lack of performance doesn't take away from the elite top three teams!

Well, the conference has an upside and a downside this year. The upside is obviously having the #1 and #2 teams in the country, along with another with only one defeat.

Penn State and Iowa have had disappointing years, but that should not take away from the teams that are doing well.

I don't think it's down. The Big Ten has 3 teams in the top 10.
