I like studs better and before you ever put jewelry in you should always sterilize it with alcohol or hydrogen peroxide cause you never know who may have touched the piercing before you. After that there should be no problem.

I actual have got here upon hoops to be far extra comfortable in the better ear than studs ( you're able to sleep with your ear folded to evade poking your self with the prong in the begining) additionally, i got here upon the tightnesss of the backing very nerve-racking. small hoops...and yes, i have bought a lot of belly rings from bodycandy.com and have never had a problem. i like the site b/c it's really cheap, and i always get coupons in my email from them, so it's even cheaper!

I have a small hoop in mine. I have never bought any jewelry off of the internet. But, no matter where I get it from, I always soak earrings in alcohol overnight to sterilize them.

Not sure about the website, I only buy from local dealers, but I'd recommend studs, as they are easier to remove and clean/replace while your ear is healing.
