Look at paintings of young men of the time and you will get some ideas. Or.. if you happen to know anyone who participates in Rennaissance Fairs or Society for Creative Anachronism, they would be a good leads. Many of them even make their own costumes and could be of help that way.

The link below is to Tudor paintings.

And for heaven's sake, yes, take time to spell

Stop in any Fabric Store, and check out the pattern section. They will have books from all the major pattern makers that will have renaissance outfits in them. They should also have the pattern. Find an outift you like and check the pattern. It will usually have a breakdown on the back of all the parts and piece. As you look them over, you will probably realize that you could substitue a smock for this part and a tunic for that.

Once you have some ideas hit the second hand and "goodwill" stores and look for outifts. I outfitted 32 actors - myself included -(with several in multiple outfits) for under $200 this summer to do "Once Upon a Mattress". Several of the outfits were borrowed from friends who attend Renaissance fairs regularly.

If you do not have a fabric store handy, go online to the web sites for Simplicity, McCall and Buttrick. While you will not be able to see the back of patterns, you will be able to get ideas from the front pictures.

You will also need to look online for some good dancing tights for the guys.

Shakespeare is an Elizabethan playwright anyway, not Victorian. However, all you need to do is dress the main characters in regal attire, as it's set at court, Hamlet himself is Prince of Denmark, and all others are, of his family or of court. # Hamlet is the Prince of Denmark; he is son to the late King Hamlet; and nephew to the present King Claudius. # Claudius is the King of Denmark, elected to the throne after the death of his brother, King Hamlet. Claudius has married Gertrude, his brother's widow. # Gertrude is the Queen of Denmark, and King Hamlet's widow, now married to Claudius, and mother to Hamlet. # The Ghost appears in the image of Hamlet's father, the late King Hamlet (Old Hamlet). # Polonius ("Corambis" in "Q1") is Claudius's chief counsellor, and the father of Ophelia and Laertes. # Laertes is the son of Polonius, and has returned to Elsinore from Paris. # Ophelia is the daughter of Polonius, and Laertes's sister, who lives with her father at Elsinore. She is in love with Hamlet. # Horatio is a good friend of Hamlet, from the university at Wittenberg, who came to Elsinore Castle to attend King Hamlet's funeral. # Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are childhood friends and schoolmates of Hamlet, who were summoned to Elsinore by Claudius and Gertrude. # Fortinbras is the nephew of old King Norway. He is also the son of Fortinbras senior, who was killed in single combat by Hamlet's father Hope this helps a little

My goodness... perhaps you should work on your spelling first. I don't know how you can even begin to take on Hamlet, when you can't even spell.
