Some people say no, but I beg to differ. I have had two children and only have one stretch mark and if I wanted to bare my tummy long enough to tan over it, it would be invisible. Rule number one...no scratching. Jaccuzzi, Jaccuzzi,Jaccuzzi...keeps your skin healthy, but don't stay in too long during your third trimester. Baby oil rubs...get your hubby to do it, your back too, because beleive it or not, your whole torso stretches while pregnant, do your breast too. Have a good pregnancy.

NO stretch marks are hereditary. If your mother got them. YOu will get them. plus 85-90% of women WILL get strech marks while pregnant. Even if you only gain the recommended 25-35 pounds. AND IF you gain more your definity going to get them.

THe elastin in your skin can streach but with the rapid growth of the fetus in the 6-9 month range. It just cant keep up with the ever expanding uterus and baby inside.

Sorry to tell you this.

Increase your intake of Vitamin E, of course ask your doctor first, but Vitamin E oil helps your skins elasticity. I used this remedy after i saw the first stretch mark and i didnt get anymore, thanks to my moms advice on vitamin E. I also rubbed Cocoa Butter on my belly every chance i had. It smells like coconuts so its not to bad, or you can go to bath and body works and they have all sorts of sented Shea butter lotions which are great too. Talk to your doc about the vit.E i was able to take it without question but everyone is different so make sure its clear with your doc. Good luck AND KEEP THE LOTION ON THE BELLY.

it's hard to prevent stretch marks. but coco butter works really good to reduce them just make sure you use it everyday. your skin dries out and then stretches and that's what causes them.the coco butter will help keep moister in your skin so the stretch marks want be as bad
