because alot of the water is contaminated and sometimes some part of the world dont have as much water as other places do. some places dont get any rain or very little if they do. And because of water pollution and chemichal waste that is put into our water.

Pollution - contaminates the ground soil in which the water is found.Climate plays a big factor in how much water is in a certain area...too hot leads to dessert like conditions ..too cold freezes the water and makes it not as assessable..too much water leads to floods that can contaminate the water by other substances being washed into it. There are many different reasons hopes this helps.

One thing I know for sure:
1) Water is not drinkable to everyone in the world because the ocean for instance is made of salt water, which makes most of the water in the water "not drinkable". Has substances toxic to the human body.
