Usually its not love but the loss of love that brings the cruelty to it. Its like anything without an opposite the other is lacking. Pleasure/pain,/sickness/health without one the other would not be appreciated as much.

Because love is the greatest power there is. It can build you up and break you to pieces. Nothing great ever comes easy, and there is nothing easy about love. But when you are in it, is there anything better? When you are without it, when your heart is broken, is there a greater depth? This is life. Enjoy the ride.

Love is like a rose. When it can be beautifula nd delicate, at most cases it can hurt you like poison ivy. I know how it feels to love and be loved and in most cases, it can start with a simple relationship to a never-ending bond. But sometimes, that can be short lived and ends up in a disaster. Because people don't know what to expect out of it. To last forever?or a just for now?You go into love willingly and blind. Its like walking into a room blindfolded-you don't know if the room will be beautiful or if it will be full of monsters.

Because we expect that we get what we give. Love is love defined. It is our own frustrations when our expectations that are not met about love concerns that makes it cruel. Therefore love is not cruel, it is how we perceive its effects on us. Expectations causes frustrations.
