For 10Mb it takes like 30 minutes.

I have a great internet connection and am using Yahoo as a host.

Any ideas?

Well if you are sure you have a good connection then what about your upload speed. Sometimes just because you have a cable connection does not mean you have a good upload speed. Go here and check your connection http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest

And it could also be the server you are uploading to. Sometimes servers don't allow over a certain amount of bandwidth used.

Speed of a data transfer is limited to the slowest data transfer part of the connection or where the least amount of bandwidth is available.

Also limitations can be caused by the amount of time the FTP server can provide to the connection based on how many connections are being used and also an artificial limit set at the FTP server to deter large FTP transfers or limit monthly FTP data transfer costs of hosting the FTP website on the server.

An internet connection can become slow or stop working due to a number of reasons depending on the type of the connection. Many of the problems can be solved by making software changes or small hardware corrections. Detailed instructions at http://tinyurl.com/yl62gz
