actually, you gain weight because of the pre-period bloat....then it seems like ur losing weight, when ur realy just getting back to ur pre-menstral weight.

actually, i can say its a half fact and half lie.

the fact, you feel really bloated when you are having your Menes, and that because your body is losing both huge amount of blood and water at the same time. this would result in that, you feeling very bloated and your nipples very sore and tender.
you will also eat lesser than usual for the next 1 week, until the period is gone.

but on the other hand, the lie.
after that 1 week of bloatedness, you will start to eat back to the amount you usually eats. and starts to feel more thirsty than usual, than craving for more water and your body will automatically replace back the water lost, and recover the blood sheded.

conclusion; if you lost weight during your period, it is actually the effect of water being lost and the blood that is shed out.
however, these are just temporary changes, and the weight lost is very minimal.

I have found that it is easier to not gain while on my period, but I have never really lost during it. I look at it as a time in which I can be more free with my eating habits without going nutso.

Bloat goes away after your period ends. You gain that weight ONLY just before your period and during; that weight goes away afterwards.

No, you really lose more weight when you cut back on the amount of food going in and increase the amount of activity. That is the only way to lose weight, short of gastric by-pass surgery. There are no magic cures, only the basic simple fact that we all know, but refuse to admit.

I don't think it's true. Cause I'm sure every girl out there as temptations and eat a lot more. Plus...I don't think being on your period would cause you too lose weight. Cause if that was true, every girl would love it!! (and we don't!!!) Probably something about bloating and makes us think we lose weight.

From what I understand women become bloated before their period. So you may lose water weight.

Um...no. You are disillusioned that you do because of the water weight you lose.

But no, the difference is insignificant.
