I returned something back onto my debit card, but it did not post today, I have been spending money today, and I am in the negative, when realistically, there is plenty in there, it just needs to post. Are they going to charge me for overdraft, when its actually in there?

Yes it will make you over drawn with all the charges unless the return posts tonight along with the money you have spent. If this does not happen for you then my suggestion is to call the bank first thing in the morning and tell them the situation if you are nice to them and dont usually have overdrafts they more than likely will cut you a break. If not then I would switch banks.

You could do I what I did one time, I went into the branch and questioned them on the overdraft fee. They check into my account and see there were $$ in there (same issue about the posting to account as you have stated), so that way they refunded me the charge.

You can always argue with the bank clerk, and when you argue, they usually reversed the charge.

Debit card purchases are deducted from your account the minute you enter your PIN, but the charge is reversed up to 30 days.

You will get charged for many overdrafts.

yes it takes 48 to 72 business hrs for it to go back on your card. You should of checked that out before you started spending. You live and learn. You will have to pay overdraft

Most likely. Unless the money is actually posted in the account, then it is not considered to be in the account.

YOU NEVER SPEND UNTIL YOU SEE YOUR BALANCE........

JUST BECAUSE YOU RETURN OR DEPOSIT AN AMOUNT DOES ALWAYS MEAN THAT AMOUNT IS IMMEDIATE AVAILABLE FOR USE.....AND THAT IS POSTED IN BANKS.
