1 isn't a multiple of 4, but that was just a typo, right? :^)

Strictly speaking, if the question asks "..for all multiples of 4 between 1 and 20", the answer would be "4,8,12,16" because "between" mathematically does not include "equal", unless the question had been written "..between 1 and 20, INCLUSIVE", which indicates that the endpoints would be includable. Then you would add "20" to the list (but not 1 ; 4 times what whole number gives you 1?)

multiples of 4 are, 4 x 1= 4, 4 x 2 = 8 etc. so 1 is NOT a multiple of 4 but 20 is if you are finding the multiples of 4 between 1 and 20 inclusive. the key is the word inclusive. If the question is just between 1 and 20 than you would not include 20 in the answers since it is not "between" 1 and 20.

To be a multiple of 4, the number has to be evenly divisible (no remainder) by 4. Since 1 divided by 4 is 0.25, 1 is not divisible by 4.

The numbers between 1 and 20 that are divisible by 4 are as follows:
4, 8, 12,16, and 20

1 is a factor of 4, not a multiple of 4.

one is a factor because 1*4=4, but it is not a multiple because 1 divided by 4 is .25, which doesn't equal 4.

good question tho, i used to be confused on that too.

You would not include 1 and I do believe you would include 20... So it would be 4,8,12,16,20...
