how old do children stop needing to be taken in a pram and start walking out on their own?

They start around 2 but will not go long distance until around 3.

assuming that a pram is a stroller, you should probably start slowly, and somewhere safe. As long as they understand to hold your hand and not to run off, they are ready for whatever you want to teach them. Try practicing in the yard, up and down the sidewalk before venturing out to somewhere say the grocery store.

I'd say anywhere from 3 to 4 years old. Depends on the child, his/her development, and readiness. Start out small, work up big.

I waited w/ my daughter until she was 2 years old, & my son is 2 & still in one, its your choice
