I would say its most likely to happen within the next decade or the decade following it. I base this solely on the fact that there is not an African American candidate running for either party with a chance to win in the last election of this decade, the 2008 election (As Obama would be the African American candidate that is expected to make a bid at it, and his age and experience would contribute to a likely loss)

America is too busy accusing other nations of having baises and inequalities in thier constitutions and trying to push for equal rights for women. Making mountains out of mole hills,
Other so called nations with Inequalities have had women presidents,
Bangladesh,
India,
Pakistaan,
Turkey,
to name a few, and many have had presidents and prime ministers from minority communities, showing respect and regard for true human values and a true spirit of democracy.
US on the other hand is the biggest hypocrite, till date they have never had either an women president , a black one or a vice president even.
That will be the day when they have a women president or a black president.

The same year that hell will freeze over. I honestly don't think people in America are ready to elect a black person as president.
They have a hard time having black quarter backs let alone president.

When the most qualified candidate will run. 2008 is too soon I believe as Obama lacks experience and Powell will not run. Rice is too damaged by association with Bush to win in 08. 2012 may be the time.

Our next election maybe , many are not willing to vote for Hillary Clinton so after her one of the most prominent democratic candidates is Obama , and with people still outraged at their ( about to be completely ) formal government it will probably go to the democrats .

Impossible to know. I hope it is when the best person for the job at that time happens to be black.

Maybe Condi? doubt it.
I would say it could be soon, not likely in 2008, just because of who are the proposed runners. Easily it could be after that.
