Is is possible for you to have twins? Yes. It's possible for anyone to have twins! I'm the mother of identical twins so I hear these types of questions alot. Here are some facts about twins:
1. Identical (monozygotic) twins are from one fertilized egg that splits. This is a random act of nature and every pregnancy has a 1 in 250 chance of becoming identical twins. It is not impacted by age, family history, ethnicity, or fertility drugs.
2. Fraternal (dizygotic) twins occur when the woman produces two eggs and both are fertilized. This type of twins is more common in African Americans (less common in Asians and Hispanics). Your chance of fraternal twins increases with age and with the number of pregnancies. Women on fertility drugs also have a higher chance of having twins.
3. Family history of fraternal twins on the females side increases your chance of having twins.
Since both your mother and father are fraternal twins then there is a good chance you have the gene for producing two eggs (resulting in fraternal twins). I would be sure to mention this part of your family history to your OB so that he does an early ultrasound to see if it's a twin pregnancy.

As long as you are able to get pregnant it's always possible to be pregnant. Seman lives up to seven days inside a females body and the whole time they're trying to fertilize an egg. You have a very high chance of having twins if twins are in your family it increases your chances greatly and remember sometimes things like that skip a generation.

if u use a first response test u can use it the day you miss your period. but if it comes out neg. you still wanna test a few days after just to make sure in case you didnt have enuf of the hcg hormone in ur body. ive heard that semen can live in ur body anywhere from 24 to 72 hours. its very likely that you could have twins since it runs on both sides of the family. if you were ovulating when you had sex then it is very possible that you could be pregnant. god bless and good luck with everything.

well if you are having sex, then yeah it is possible. The sperm can live up to a week inside you. Like, If you had sex on the 15th, you can get pregnant on the22 or 23rd. Twins skip generations, so, Is it your turn for a generation? You should check that out!

Whoa--periods are your friend!
1) Wait until a week after you miss your period to test. You'll be jumping the gun if you take the test any earlier.
2) Because your mother and father all had twins in their families, your chances are increased. Are you African American? If you are, the chances increase too.

yes it is very possible you are pregant. you can take a home pregancy test to find out. some of them are pretty accurate. and the possibility of you having twins is strong. they usually skip a generation or two. so it is possible you can have twins.

The sperm can live up to 24 hrs and the egg will be alive for 48 hrs so there are chances of you getting pregnant.
