I'll admit I want one, but I don't see the point waiting in line that long. And taking the chance that you won't even get one. Also did Sony fix all the problems it was having with it?

Money hungry people out there trying to make a profit out of consumers who are stupid enough to waste good money. If it is about getting it for a child for Christmas then I think it's wrong to. We have lost the true meaning of Christmas thanks to comercialism. Let's remember people it's all about being together with family, giving thanks, and gifts that have true meaning. God bless everyone and Happy Holidays.

Have you looked on ebay recently? No one wants a PS3 that bad. They want to make $2000+ that bad. Its the business move of a lifetime. Especially when there are shipping problems with sony and most stores are now only getting 2. It will certainly pay to be the first in line. How else could an uneducated person with nothing better to do make that kind of profit doing absolutely nothing in such a short amount of time.

Man, I want one, but I'm going to wait a while to see if the price goes down a little bit. I thought that the $600 price tag would kind of quiet the clamor for the PS3 down, but I guess not. I'm getting a Wii first, despite the silly name.

Here's what I don't understand... these people that wait in line for like a week... did they take vacation time from work? Or do they not have a job? And if they don't have a job, how are they paying $500 to $600 for the console?

I found this strange also. I've been trying to understand it but I can't. Keeping up appearances? Over-obsession with brands and names? A means of showing off to friends 'behind' in time? I really can't say... All I know is it's utterly ridiculous.
