scientific notation is done as so:

In the number 264,000,000 The coefficient will be 2.64

To find the exponent count the number of places from the decimal to the end of the number.

In 264,000,000 there are 8 places. Therefore we write 264,000,000 as: 2.64 x 10 ^ 8

The ^ means that the number that follows would be raised.

To find the number of turkeys eaten during that day you use this formula:

(amount ÷ total) × 100 = percentage

amount would equal 46,000,000
total would be 264,000,000

(46,000,000 ÷ 264,000,000) x 100= percentage
(0.174242424) x 100 = percentage

drop the parentheses
0.17424 x 100 = 17.424
now round up and add the percentage sign

17.4%

hope this helps

Sorry. Jack's were given the right theory, yet 2/5 * 25 = 10, no longer in spite of he's were given there. also, 40 - 6 = 34. ok... saddle up... the following we flow. the first element you want to do with those is flow ahead and multiply each thing out, so that you'll be able to isolate the variables. a million. 14 - a million/5 (j - 10) + 2/5 (25 + j) Watch the signs and indicators in this one. undergo in concepts that a minus signal skill you're multiplying through a unfavorable. 14 - a million/5 j + 2 + 10 + 2/5 j Now, including the numerals and prefer words... we get 14 + 2 + 10 + 2/5 j - a million/5 j 26 + a million/5 j once you're fixing for j, basically set this equivalent to 0 and sparkling up: 26 + a million/5 j = 0 a million/5 j = -26 Multiplying through 5... j = -100 thirty 2. a million/8 (5y + 6) = a million/4 (20 + 2y) undergo in concepts at the same time as multiplying utilising fractions and finished numbers, its' a similar as multiplying through the entire huge style over a million. enable's see what we get 5/8 y + 6/8 = 5 + a million/2 y Subtracting 6/8 from each area, we get 5/8y = 5 + a million/2 y - 6/8 Subtracting a million/2 y from each area... 5/8 y - a million/2 y = 5 - 6/8 Combining like words... and replacing 6/8 to three/4 a million/8 y = 5 - 3/4 a million/8 y = 4 a million/4 the following is a accessible little element to undergo in concepts. To get y, you'll want to multiply each area through 8. continually, once you've fractions of variables, to get rid of the fractions basically multiply through the inverse fraction... a million/8 's inverse is 8/a million. So.. y = (4 a million/4) x 8 y = 34

Scientific Notation is a number between 1 and 9 times 10 raised to a power. 2.64 x 10 raised to the 8th power.

To find a percentage you would do the number eaten out of the total number. 46/264 (million) = .17 or 17%

To make the circle: A circle is 360 degrees. So you would calculate the percentage of 360 degrees for each item. Use a protractor to measure the amount of the circle you need for each one. All of the angles, added together, will equal 360 degrees.

I hope this helps.

Draw a circle large enough for you to see, you'll need to divide that circle into five sections. Start with the largest percentage 48% and work your way around the circle. 48% should take up nearly half of your circle. 20% should take up a little less than a quarter of your circle and continue from there. Good luck.

Im not sure, but for the 1st one, isn't it 46 million divided by 264 million, and then you add the percentage sign to it? So that's 17%.

2.64*10^8 is the first one. write 264,000,000, move decimal place to left for positive number, until you have a number between 1 and 10, as 2.64 is. Power of ten is that decimal place move.
