* putting together a drama with a few classmates
* making a small model of the temple or sanctuary
* making a clay vase or dish that is styled from that era
* plotting a particular persons journey onto a map
* making a board game based on old testament stories
I'll let you know if I can think of anything else- Good luck!

A booklet on 'What your dreams mean according to the Bible'? - lol,
I did something before using natural beauty treatments like Esther would have used, but I think you are a guy yes, so not very suitable :)
What stories in the bible do you like? What characters do you like? Perhaps you could make a model of something in the OT. Maybe write a 'diary' for Noah's 40 days in the Ark, 'I wish God would stop the rain, it's driving me crazy!' involves imagination, but also referring to the text. Actually you could probably write a diary for any of the characters Daniel or even Nebukenezer!
Do you like battles and stuff, perhaps something on David and Golliath or The Battle of Jericho or something -maybe biblical armour or battleplans. What about reading a novel set in the old testament - I read a great one about Ruth, and writing a review of it/comparing it with biblical text.
Do you draw? - You could try drawing a few characters based on their descriptions and how their character is portrayed.
Perhaps you could do a 'yahoo answers question' to people in the bible. e.g Questions you would ask different characters or something.
Wow! I wanna do this project now ;-) (not doing it for you tho :P)

Do a board game!
That usually ends up with high marks..
You can make it like "Snakes and Ladders".
The Finishing point is when Jesus is born.
The Starting point is the Creation.
You can also represent the snakes as the devil's tail.
The consequences you sometimes land on can be sins like the Ten Plagues or the Golden Calf in Moses' story.
The advancements are events like the birth of prophets or the arrival into the promised land, Canaan.
Hope this helps!

Old Testament is interesting. How about choosing a favorite character and dress in costume as them. Do a talk about their life. Pick someone not done all the time. How about Benjamin, Joseph's little brother? Can you imagine not knowing Joseph and being accused of stealing from him which would be a sentence of death? Or choose the older brother who helped sell Joseph into bondage. Read the story carefully and really get into his head.
Best Wishes,
Sue

You could do something on the Ten Commandments from Ex 20 and show how those principles are embodied in the laws we have today ie ex 20:13 you must not murder did you know that there is a difference between killing someone and murdering them ? you can accidentally kill some one ie a car accident but you cant accidentally murder someone as murder is always premediated carefully planned out you want to do it and you do it with malice you must not commit adultery how many divorces are granted on the grounds of one spouse cheating on the other you must not steal that should be self evident with laws on burgulary and larceny you must not testify falsely as a witness against your fellow man how many laws on purgery, extorsion jurry tampering you get the point hope this helps you best wishes and let me know how you do Gorbalizer

I'd do something on one of the miracles in the Old testiment and how it's "impossible" yet it happened anyway. Like the parting of the red sea, how there's no logical way that could have happened without God. Or Jonah in the big fish.
Or you could do something with Biblical clothes, from the fig leaf to what they were wearing at the close of the Old Testimentt.

I LIKE THE PERSON ABOVE ME'S IDEA OF MAKING A MODEL OF THE TABERNACLE!
If not the whole tabernacle, then the holy place, or the holy of holies.
Imagine... the place where the God of Abraham came down so that His people would know that He was with them. I mean God came down from heaven in the form of a pillar of cloud and fire, and walked amongst his people. such an awesome thought.

When I had to do an oral report on a woman of the bible...what I did was dressed as the character while I gave the report, did it as if I was the woman. I talked about my family, who I was, my husband if I was married and any children, what I did or my purpose.
