i want to be a musician/artist...its all i want to do and if it doesnt work out i am just going to die, its all ive ever thought abt and wanted since i found my dads queen cd....but i need to know..i am abt to start highschool and should i start a band when i get in to highschool or should i live through highschool and start thinking abt it latr when i graduate and all... and what if there arent any ppl that i connect with and have as much passion for it as i do ad are just as good as i am?

start out as early as possible..i didnt start until my mid 30s ...good band...but not everyone in the group had the same focus..get with people you like and can work well with

Live through high school first! If you don't you are just going to get screwed every way you turn! You need to learn more things than just music to be a musician/artist. And MOST musicians you see on MTV and elsewhere started in high school band! If you don't know any more than what you hear on a Queen CD (not a bad place to start, by the way) than you better not START a band. Join a band that's already started and learn from them, too. You'll find that it is rare for everyone in a band to share the same passion. There is always disagreements. High school can help you learn to deal with it.

Check this out! I've been playing music (guitar) for years and years , gigs - recording - etc. , and it was also QUEEN that gave me a kick in the butt way back then to want to play a lot. Start in High School... actually I would have started earlier. You learn all the joys of reading music, timing and the wonderful world of theory.
