Hello! I am 19 as well and my baby is 4 1/2 months, thats so awesome :) Here where I live there is no specific groups unless you have twins or triplets so I think a specific one for young moms would be awesome and I would totally take advantage of it!! Its always good to get away and socialize and with other moms around your age?? THATS COOL!

yes i think they are. I was 17 when I had my daughter and we had a group in school for teen moms and I really learned alot. At 25 I had my 2nd baby and joined a group. Its nice we get together once a week and the babies play. Its also nice for the moms because I dont know about you, but I dont get out much to socialize. I also get really good advice on certain issues

YES! If you are looking for support from someone who (REALLY) understands exactly what it is that you are going through, then DEFINITELY yes!!! Especially being a mother at such a young age. I too started early, and I am grateful for having friends that I could turn to for advice, support, ideas, and shared experiences. It really helps when you are feeling down and a bit overwhelmed. Good luck!! And congratulations on your beautiful baby girl!! My firstborn was also a girl(my only girl,I also have 2 boys) ANd let me tell you what...Kimmie is truly the greatest thing I have ever done....and the ABSOLUTE greatest gift I could have ever recieved! The first smile, the first time she said Mama, the first time she said I Love You......the most amazing feelings ever in my life are all in part because of her! Enjoy and cherish her, always!

Groups are great... You get support from other moms and make valuable friends. They get to know you and your children. They can provide support, and you can provide support back.
