Welfare cost $10B dollars, probably less than we spent on the Diebold voting machines last year. If that's what democrats are doing to buy votes, those votes are coming awfully cheap!! Are you really upset about the $50 you pay towards helping the poor, or the $2000 you pay for interest, of the $3000 you pay to kill tens of thousands of Iraqi citizens?

For comparison, Republicans spent $500 Billion to buy votes via "tax cuts".

You need to restate that, " will you sell out your right to vote to a party who believes you are ignorant, as long as they increase your welfare and give you special tax credits even though you don't work."
That is how the liberals get elected, they promise the welfare vote the sun, the moon and the stars to get their vote, then do what they want to do. go figure.

Isn't it odd that the people of one political belief always get into name calling ie.; "NeoCon, Racist, Pig, etc., etc.,etc..?"
Sure, let's kill more babies. Wouldn't it have been a lot easier on the rest of us, if your mother had desided to abort you? Such a waste.
The trouble with the liberal mentality is that they confuse things all too easily. Consider welfare. It was good. It was needed. Unfortuanately, their definition of success is "Look how many we've signed up! See, it's working." Instead, it should be, "Look how many we've been able to make self-sufficient and get off the tax-payers' gravey train. See, it's working." What they've done is to create generation upon generation who don't know how to fend for themselves and instead, sit back and wait for the government to take care of everything.
If you think it through, all of the world's dictators were liberal. The liberals want to "Equalize" everything. Pass a law here, pass a law there. Take this away from those and give it to them over there... Pretty soon, capitalism no longer exists. Why try to get ahead? The liberals will just take what you've earned and give it to the "less fortunate." Next thing you know, you have a dictatorship. You've gone from being so far to the left, that you end up on the outer fringe of the right. Think about it.
As for the quip about credit cards. Consider this. During the Clinton years, the lobbyists for those lending institutions lobbied your elected officials into raising the percentage rate. It's now as high as 30 %. Then, during the Bush years, those same lobbyists, came back and lobbied to have the laws governing the filing of bankruptcy changed -- making it harder for those in financial crisis to file. Both were approved. First by a democrat president, and then by a republican president.
So who loses? The Democrats? The Republicans? I say everybody! But you're too busy viewing your world through rose colored glasses and throwing bricks to REALLY see what's going on.
Funny, how when Gore lost, they demanded recount after recount. And still after that, they said that the Whitehouse had been stolen. And in the state of Washington, when they lost the gubernatorial race, they demanded recount after recount until they'd found enough dead people's signatures to swing the election and then said, "Don't be such sore losers, just accept it and lets get on with the business at hand..." But they're always the first to start calling names. We ALL lose.

If a politician I supported gave me any reason to believe his actions were based on racism, I would not support him. I don't know who you are speaking of, but President Bush is definitely not a racist, look at his cabinet and he speaks fluent Spanish and is proud of his connection to Spanish speaking Americans. If you are speaking of the smear campaign against George Allen, if you think he is a racist you don't know him. I know him, I got to spend time with his family when he was elected Governor of Va. He is a great man!

Which pols are you calling racist? I wouldn't vote for Robert KKK Byrd under any circumstances. As far as I know he is pro abortion. I know he is for high taxes.
What are "credit card tax cuts"? I've never heard that term before, did you just invent it?
