i have no free ram spots and two 512 installed and was wondoring if i would see a difference going to 1.5GB

Well the second guy is half right, you can of course install them in different sizes. However to call the performance gain "amazing" is a bit of a stretch. Plus, you would be forfeiting dual channel mode if you install in different sizes, which is a bad thing. My suggestion is to save up until you can afford the full upgrade to 2GB.

I don't think you can. (I think) multi-stick RAM has to have pairs of the same amount of memory. I think you would need 2 512s and 2 256s. But I'm not an expert on RAM, someone might have something else to say. And the performance boost would be worth it.

Unless you play RAM hogging games like BF2, then wait until you can afford another gig

yes you can have different sized sticks dont beleive the above...hes a dumbass...and yes it's worth it.....1.5 gigs is amazing....
you would notice a difference by far
