The problem with everyone's assessment is that people like the underdog and the person who improves the most. That is not good especially in this case. It doesn't matter that Mario was a great dancer or that he had prior dance training. The whole point is to crown the BEST dancer. Drew Lachey and Stacy Kiebler both had prior dance experience last year and were the best from the start. Therefore, I voted for them. Jerry Rice on the other hand was the most improved but he still wasn't as good as Drew or Stacy. Likewise with Emmitt. I do think he improved tremendously and he is a good entertainer and performer, but the keyword is GOOD. Mario is GREAT. Thats why I think Mario should have one. He was great from beginning to end. And many of the dances that were choreographed for Mario were a lot tougher than the ones for Emmitt. The same could be said for Monique. Louis choreographed routines for her that were so difficult but she pulled them off the best should could. Still she was good but not great. If she pulled them off excellently, then I would have probably voted her. Therefore, I believe that Mario was the best dancer and should have one. But congrats to Emmitt because he did come a long way.

Probably Mario from the little I saw of the show, but Emmit was the most improved

I am glad Emmit won! He was most improved through the whole show. Mario came in being good.

Emmit should have won. Mario was good, but Emmit made such a great improvement.

Emmit sure worked hard and came a long way...but Mario was definety the better dancer.

Mario replaced into really the most suitable dancer. i imagine people prominent Emmet for what he carried out, being a huge guy, by no potential experienced as a dancer. I think Emmit Smith should HAVE won........he was very entertaining and really light on his feet........plus he is very engaging overall..........I really liked the guy and thought he was an excellent dancer!
So was Mario.

Emmit Smith has been dancing his whole life. he has just changed partners. he went from a football to a human being.
