aside from the lies that it's based upon and the false political
reasons that started it, it's become a money issue . what can one do when legislature goes bad ? Normal needs it for monetary reasons : if they do their job they lose there job.... u can imagine what's under the table.....justice can't prevail in a pentocrisy on the take one of the problems with capitalism w/out conscience.
It's probably unconstitutional ...

Congress has drawn a big bright line, and they haven't changed it.
Like a huge percentage of laws passed, this one might be mostly pointless, and sometimes get in the way of valid actvity (such as medical use). But Congress said no. So, for now, that's the law.
Laws don't require logic. As long as the legislature can point to any possible harm that might eventually result from an activity, they can make that activity illegal. It's called Rational Basis review, and it basically gives the legislature a free pass.

Politics is not logical. It takes a long time for public opinion to change. Politics often makes smart people act as if they were ignorant or just plain stupid.

I have extensive experience treating people who have had their lives destroyed by marijuana. Working community mental health, I would estimate that about half of all mental illness in the western world is caused by marijuana use.
It's simple. Patients come in with various mental illness. One hundred percent of them are drug users. By far, the most common drug used in marijuana. You take a patient history and, "lo and behold" you find out that their first symptoms started soon after they started using.
The important thing to understand is that, except in the most advanced cases, if you can get the person to stop using (not easy to do), most of their symptoms disappear. It's the single most important/effective therapeutic issue in clinical psychology (yet one that is mostly ignored because liberals control the field and liberals are pro-drug no matter the consequences).
As for "numerous studies" done on it. You are LYING. Spend any amount of time perusing PsyMed or Medlars and you will quickly see that the research on the matter shows exactly the opposite. Drugs are dangerous. Pot is the most dangerous for various reasons, not the least being it is the most widespread in use. But, it's also nearly 10 times as potent as it was during the 60's and is usually mixed with other drugs (PCP and crack being the most common) and dangerous chemicals. It is VERY difficult to get pot these days that isn't mixed with these, btw. So, if you are a pot smoker, you are almost definitely a crack/PCP user and probably not aware of it.

Harmless? I do not think my husband would agree that it is harmless after being hit from behind while at a stop light by a guy going 80 miles and hour. The impact broke the seat loose and threw him back into the back seat nearly killing him.
