What's A Writers Block?

I Know what it is but i can't quite define it, can anyone define it for me please.

it is when an Author is stuck for words ,he is with out inspiration,his creativity is disfuntional ,he has writers block

Define Writers Block, Best I can do is tell you that it is characterised by the loss of inspiration or confidence in creativity.
and sometimes it is caused by depression. It's like starting a sentence and half way through you forget what you were trying to say.

a psychological inhibition preventing a writer from proceeding with a piece of writing. a thought or distraction can make your mind switch gears and sometimes it takes longer than other times to get back on track.
