What do you HATE about Starbucks (if anything), even though you love it (which you should)
Here are the 5 things I hate most about Starbucks:
1. When you just got your drink, are walking to the big couch, and some biotch with a laptop takes it.
2. People who take a newspaper off the for-sale rack, read it, then return it and expect that someone’s going to pay for that used copy.
3. Regular meetings of the Bitchy wives club, where married women ***** about their husbands (and often children) for the whole time.
4. Regular meetings of the Old Codger's Clubs, where old guys basically talk about politics and healthcare, cough phlegm and blow their noses for hours on end. They should find a Denny's.
5. The fact that most people who go into a Starbucks, are always wearing Abercrombie, AE, or Hollister! (I'm one of them).
So yeah. Anything you hate about Starbucks, even though you love it?

By the way, I placed this question in fast food because it is considered (by Wikipedia) a fast food joint, although it's mostly fast drinks.

I hate going into Starbucks when it is busy. They think they are trying to move the line faster by asking you your order before you get to the register and you end up talking over the shoulder of the person in front of you paying. "I'll have a tall light soy mocha, no whip". The person ahead of me is still digging in their purse for three pennies mind you when the person who I yelled my order to asks me to repeat myself because of the ambient noise in the store... As I make my way to the register to pay, and repeat my order for a second time, I now have to talk to two people, the register person and the auditory challenged barista. The register person needs to know what i ordered in order to charge me and the duffus barista needs to know what to make. ahhhhh
Then they ask you for your name (I think to myself why?) They can never seem to get my (fairly unique) name correct either so I usually only give them the first initial. They usually smile or laugh (this I still don't understand) as they scribble my initial on the cup.
I usually need a Quaalude after I order from Starbucks when It's busy.

This is the only thing I hate about Starbucks, has already been noted, that they don't keep their newspapers behind the customers. Its the customers fault for taking newspapers without paying for them (thus keeping people who actually PAY for the newspaper from doing so), but it is also Starbucks fault for not managing the situation. Barnes and Nobles has learned this lesson (at least the one I go to has), and puts them all behind the counter.
There is a special place in hell for people who eat grapes in the grocery store without paying, and that take newspapers off the rack at Starbucks without forking over the money first. Just because you may not care/be aware of the cost, doesn't mean it isn't there. It is called theft, and it is nothing else except theft (unless the store personnel give you specific permission to do this OR grapes or on a sample plate).

I hated that after 9/11, some jerk employee at Starbucks wouldn't give the rescue workers free water. The company apologized, but the whole thing still sucked.

I hate their coffee because it is way too bitter. I also hate that independent coffee shops (with great coffee) are increasingly hard to find because of Starbucks' popularity. I must give the company credit for allowing part time employees medical benefits.

I like the drinks but hate the expense and the fact that I'm unsuccessful at duplicating their "secret" frappuccino recipe at home. I've tried blending together hot Italian roast expresso, granulated sugar, cold milk, dry pectin and/or dry vanilla pudding, and ice cubes in various proportions. But, so far, I can't get the same taste. That ticks me off!

Most of all the bucks to pay for the coffee...LOL It is delicious though.
The messy newspapers left on the racks by the other customers after they're done with it.
Loud people who talk on cell phones!

Starbucks is not that good and it is way over priced for the things it serves. I do not go there and prefer to make drinks in my own kitchen; I do a lot better job.
Also, I hate the snob factor.

I hate that everyone that goes there thinks they are so cool because they are drinking coffee. Once in a while you get those young b*tches who come in wearing slutty clothes and being rude to the staff. And then you have the businessmen who think about no one but themselves and get pissed and walk out if there's a line.

They sell a smaller size cup that they don't list on the menu. It's a "short". It's 8 ounces, and smaller than a "tall". They never put it on the menu, but it costs less and they'll sell it to you if you ask.
