Thierry Henry- Just a master of his trade, great pace, a world class finisher, scores with both feet, in a class of his own.
Claude Makelele- Just simply the best in his position, just breaks things up to allow his team mates to attack, Genius.
Kaka- So underated in my opinion, by far the best Brazilian at this summer's World Cup Finals, he is a complete midfielder, scores great goals, great feet, great skill, great technical ability, tracks back, i would love him in a Chelsea shirt.
Petr Cech- The most complete goalkeeper since the great Peter Schmichael, great agility, great organiser, hopes he recovers from his horrofic injury.
Wayne Rooney- The young boy has it all, great skill, vision, will to win, technique, the best English player since Gazza.

By far Zenadine Zidane is my favorite player. As far as active players I would have to say that Thierry Henry ranks up there with the best of them however I would have to give a slight advantage to the magical Ronaldinho. P.S. Buffon is the best goalkeeper in the world.
