Do you think all bosses are jerks?

No...but most are getting that way. I hate to say it, but the bosses that are jerks had to become that way due to the employees before you. 30+ years ago the workforce was interested and placed the family as number 1 priority, today they don't care so much about the family as long as you showed up for work when your scheduled and be on time on top of it!!! However...employees abused that to the degree that different corporations were losing money as well as putting a strain on the employee due to people calling in. I know it's unfair to treat great employees the same as the other employees who are not as good, but if you give to one you got to give to all. I work for the state in the nursing field, and where I work the facility use to pay for employees to go school to get their LPN/RN or even a phyc degree as long as they stayed at the facility for 5 years. They stopped paying for schooling about 8 years ago when a employee went to school to get his RN degree...after he got it he quit and went to another facility...to make it short...he got a free degree and the state ended up paying it all!!! So they stopped paying for continuing in schooling. Life in getting that way in general...we are paying for the other persons mistake! We don't want to get involued....we know of people doing things wrong all the time, but we don't want to say anything (including myself). I know people driving around without licenses/insurance, shoplifts and I know people abusing free services as well...the bottom line why my car insurance is high, is because I'm paying for the ones that don't have. If I'm going to Walmart to buy something...I'm paying for the ones that steals, cause if nobody steals the price would be lower then what it is now. So the bottom line is that bosses will almost have to be jerks...not because of you personally, but because of the ones before you.
