If you tell your boss you're giving them your two week notice and they tell you "now is not a good time...talk to me after Thanksgiving," what do you do?

Tell them if they only accept it after Thanksgiving, it will be a one week notice. I've never heard of a boss doing that. When IS a good time? I mean, you never like to lose people but if they resign, you can't put it off by telling them 'now is not a good time'. Sheesh.

I agree with cyndie. Two week notice is two week notice. Who ever heard of someone [the boss] putting that off? Are they not accepting your notice? No wonder that letter was being submitted in the first place!
Best wishes!
