How do you add music to an iPod thats not synced to iTunes?

Im trying to add music to my friends iPod with my iTunes.

No "um yeah hi" is wrong....the only way you can get music onto your iPod is to download iTunes, directly from apple.com for free. and then transfer songs from there to your iPod

open up the cd you want to put on. either click one song or use shift the click from first to last. drag it over into the ipod. :]
