Man oh man! You are talking about the 2 gods of thunder. I really admire Keith Moon with his hyperactive drumming style with The Who but sometimes Pete Townshend steals some of his thunder by smashing his guitar to pieces. John Bonham in the other hand is more melodic and more climactic and I am more into Zep'. Bonham just edges Keith Moon by a single notch. But really man, both are great, legendary drummers for ALL TIME!

Dave Lombardo will be up there in par with Bonham, second in line is Jason Bittner of Shadows Fall.

Bonzo. Most likely one of the greatest drummers of all time. He was an absolute MONSTER at drums..as evidenced by his performances on video and by people lucky enough to have seen Zepp live. Seriously, have you ever seen anyone play a near-perfect rendition of Moby Dick? Hell, you could distinguish his drum playing from pretty much any other drummer on the planet. His drum breaks are legendary..and will never be outdone. And Keith Moon is great in his own rights too; The Who is definitely up there in terms of hard rock legends themselves.

Bonham, Keith was very good, but if you watch him live he doesn't keep a beat as good as Bonham, he's sloppy to a point

In the late 70's I used to have this very same arguement with a friend of mine! I was the Moon fan and he the Bonham. Neither of us won, but we stuck to our guns.
