Why do some like to see stuff banned? I mean really. Let's ban smoking in bars even though it has been done and it has been a tradition since the 1700's.
Let's put more bans on fireworks. One stupid kid gets and hurt and let us pay for the rest.
Let's put more regulations of pollutions. Should we ban forest fires and volcanoes too? Many don't realize how much carbon dioxide, methane, and many other chemicals these natural occurance put in the air.

Let the laim enviromentalists ban oil drilling. So we have to pay higher gas prices.
Ya I know, drilling oil in Alaska will just pollute the whole freaking world. Are people this dumb?

BUT... Lets legalize other immoral things like gay marriages. Oh ya, it won't hurt anyone else. Smoking is much worse? Are some people living in another world or what?
Gay marriages put out a bad example to others and slow down human populations. New babies cannot be born. Get the logic here?

I was talking to someone that said that they were for gay marriages and not smoking in bars.

This really got me in my town. They were going to put a strip club in Just females in a bar for entertainment. But stupid town voted that out and allowed to homosexuals to run the mug and muffin place. A guy wanted to see naked females in natural. Two homo's are not.

Smoking in public is a nuisance for non-smokers. In fact I get extremely ill and develop an infection in my throat every time I'm forced to be in a room with people who are smoking. And bans on fireworks protect MORE stupid kids from getting hurt. You think of bans as punishment, when usually they are meant to protect.

Well, if this is your argument as to why gay marriage is immoral, I don't think it would hurt for human population to be slowed. Our resources are depleting, after all. Are you saying that all adults have the responsibility to populate the earth? Believe me, there are enough idiots out there who are overpopulating to make up for the ones who aren't at all.

By the way, being gay has also been done since the 1700s. So according to you, isn't it RIGHT?

By the way, you begrudge people who want to make an honest living bc you don't have a new strip club in town? Your morals and priorities are so screwed up. It's people like you that make the world tough to live in. Try thinking of others, for a change.

I'm not getting your logic here, in fact it sounds completely BACKWARDS.

If everyone knew what harmed other people and didn't do those things there would be no need for governments and laws. Unfortunately, this is not true. Your "right" to make a fist and stretch your arms ends where my face is.

Something being a tradition is the WORST argument I know for continuing it. We need to learn from our mistakes and make things better for our children.

The earth and environment does not ban or prevent us from doing anything. But it will react to what is done to it and affect all of us. But hey, we could just move 3 billion people to the moon, right?

I do not care about gay marriage one way or another. That is a private matter. I do not look at other marriages (Gay or not) as an example of how to live. My thinking is a little deeper than that, thank you. And if you think we don't have enough population growth right now you haven't looked at an atlas recently (and you don't live in a major city obviously).

We are all interconnected. Everything we do affects each other. Both scientists and sociologists will tell you this. But hey, if you want call me a communist and give me a thumbs down.

Strip clubs are degrading, I can't believe you compare that to two people who love each other being together...you are so ignorant. It isn't hurting society for two people to love one another...what is hurting people is the sexed crazed frenzy going on, us worrying about drilling instead of finding out other ways to run our cars..like electric or using corn. People can be irresponsible with fireworks and more than one accident has happened and second hand smoke is a proven killer...why don't you grow up and research things more throughly before putting out stupid questions. Going to a strip club is alot more damaging than two people loving one another and doing whatever they want behind their bedroom doors!

sorry, I see no logic in your argument. how do you equate banning things that are harmful to people's health or harmful to our environment with legalizing gay marriage?
we (gays/lesbians) have been around as long as there have been humans...and there hasn't been any slow down in the human population. and, FYI, we CAN and DO have children, despite your biased logic.
passing judgment on others and preaching hatred and intolerance is what's immoral.
so, let me guess, you smoke, love fireworks, you're a pyromaniac
oil refining homophobe? do I have that right?

It very a lot relies upon what you mean and by what time-honored. honestly there desires to be more effective criteria contained in the media and promotion, too far although and also you unreasonably reduce freedom of expression. honestly you'll draw kneejerk reactions from the "OMG censorship!!!a million!" crowd yet i will not see it really is extremely the position the blance lies. One must be loose to exhibit thoughts no count number what they're, besides the undeniable fact that the way you exhibit them could not be countless.

Yes let's ban alot of the things you mentioned. Do you understand the logic of allowing a substance that can kill you easily be sold in a regular store? Can you understand why people are against gay marriage, if they don't bother you? Can you understand why instead of drilling for more oil and deepening our dependence on it, that we don't find alternative cheap fuels that we can produce massively? Didn't think so.
