It's one of the symptoms but it's better to take a test.

People get heartburn when they are pregnant, but that does not mean it is an indicator of pregnancy. People also get heartburn if they eat too much Mexican food (among other GI ailments). What I mean to say is, buy a test if you are worried. Symptoms do not tell you if you are pregnant, peeing on a stick does ;-)

Its not likely that it is a symptom if you are not sure you are pregnant. Heartburn ussually occurs when you are farther along and the baby is pushing on your stomach causing acid reflux, or heartburn. If you suspect you are pregnant you should take an HCG hormone test. My first really indication besides my late period, was tenderness in my breast.

yes. although many women don't get it until the baby is big enough to squish their stomach. it can be a symptom that you are pregnant (if you aren't sure that you are) but a more common one is flu lke symptoms. with my first child i actually thought i had the flu. silly me! i was pregnant. and for later, they say that avoiding scipy foods will ease the heartburn, but the spicy stuff always calmed my stomach, so i say once you know if you are, to experiment with different foods til you find the combination that's right for your tummy.

oh yes..i had the worst heartburn when i was pregnant..it was so bad that it burned all the way up to my throat and nothing helped..itrs started for me around 5 months and lasted till i was 7 months..take the test to find out if your pregnant

could be i get horrible heartburn. i'm 14 weeks along. i never got it while i wasn't pregnant. the best way to tell is to take a pg test

u can get more heartburn due to pregnancy but I think it normally doesnt happen until later on in the pregnancy when you would already know, but just take a test to ease your mind

it sure is. i have never had heartburn until i was pregnant. i didn't even know that it was heartburn until i told my husband that i felt like a dragon and he told me that's what it was.

Yes, it definitely can be, I am 36 weeks and any thing red like spaghetti, strawberry soda, or any thing I used to like would give me heartburn and cause me to throw up.
